So this is the first post on this fresh blog – so fresh that I haven’t figured out all the fun things I can do to share with you the fullness of (as much as blogging can) me while I’m abroad in Hong Kong this spring semester.
I just made it back from the Urbana09 Missions Conference: He Dwelled Among Us, a conference that drew out the essential model of incarnationally (I think I just made up a word) living – in other words, how to “move in” to communities as Jesus moved into ours. So 4 chapters of John, 3 books, awesome fellowship, forgotten-but-soon-to-be-mailed-home phone, and 96 hours later I am still processing – but the looming busyness ahead is proving to be a hindrance. For example, I am currently forgoing the opportunity cost of unpacking from Urbana09 and HK packing for blogging. In conclusion, I thought sharing my thoughts with wonderful people provided marginally more benefit than unpacking and repacking. =]
